Natural Birch Buds are the unopened leaf buds of white birch, carefully harvested in early spring before they unfurl. Unlike birch catkins, these buds are rich in natural resins and have been traditionally valued in Eastern European and Asian herbal traditions. They offer a deep, forest-like aroma with subtly bitter, balsamic notes, making them a distinctive ingredient in herbal preparations and traditional wellness rituals.

Birch buds have a long history of use in seasonal herbal infusions and topical applications, especially during times of renewal. Commonly grown across Northern and Eastern Europe, they are appreciated for their naturally occurring antioxidants and cleansing character. Our whole birch buds are hand-filled in small batches and packed in a kraft pouch to preserve freshness and aroma. Do not exceed typical culinary amounts.
